Andy Kessler embodies what skateboarding truly is, it is a tragic loss to our industry and our thoughts and regards go to his friends and family. He brought skateboarding to life and always stayed true to it, and for this you will live on forever, thanks Andy and Rest in Peace.

Coming to NY on Thursday to do some photography work. I was hoping to track Andy down on my off day and hopefully shoot him for a bit. We lost one of the greats today.

I met Kessler skating up homemade ramps in construction sites on the upper westside in 1975. We had continued to stake and surf together since then. I last skated with Andy at the Autumn Bowl last May and surfed Rockaway with him the same day. We will all miss him. Who will build skate park in NYC now?

WOW! I can't believe it! I have known Andy for many years. I remember the Heroin days as well. I remember attending NA meetings with him and NA groups at his place on 72st. I'm sadened that it only took a bee sting to end his life....he will always be a legend.
