I think it was never mentioned because no one wanted to hear it. I'm a huge fan of Ali's skating, and I had a feeling that there was booze involved. It sucks when you have to hear that about someone you look up to. Hopefully it opens some people's eyes and makes them think twice before possibly doing the same thing.

I thought everyone knew they were both drunk? I also thought that Shanes parents didn't want to press charges...I guess the state had a different idea.

Really? Fate made him (or both of them for that matter) drink alcohol then get on the scooter?
They made a conscience decision to drink and then operate a vehicle. Yeah, it sucks that one died and the other is probably permanently injured but I have no sympathy for someone that drinks and drives, and in this case, contributed to the death of another individual.

Ali's boozing and "crazy" ways have been significantly documented. The guy has been kicked out of countries for christs sakes.
This is tough. Someone died in this situation and he is damn lucky thats all he is getting for doing what he did.
He and that poor kid made a messed up decision to party it up and get on a damn scooter. Something needs to snap inside Ali Boozelala and get him to realize that you don't have to be Sid Vicious every day of your life
