Dyrdek Safe Spot? Safe To Say It Rules

It's not officially open, but everyone is offcially jumping the fence and shredding!
img_4499Rob pretty much killed it with this one, thanks buddy. The spot's not officially open yet and it's fenced off but that ain't stopping anybody! Jump the fence and get in there. Lafayette Park at Wilshire and S. Commonwealth, Los Angeles, CA.
img_4492Cool thing is that since this spot doesn't have huge obstacles there's no need for pads or lame park muarks enforcing rules. This seems to be the way to go.
img_4494Ground is butters, might spoil you.

img_4495The star is surprisingly popular, some dude already blunt to fakied the tip.

img_4496The fact that it's actually a nice park, with trees and shade and not in the usual industrial waste area is nice as well. Of course a lot of people will tell you it's a sketchy neighborhood, but those fools are probably from Laguna Beach.
img_4498The ledges had a metal side and edge, but concrete up top, not like other metal edges that extend on to the top. Really good for locking in, haven't seen that before.

img_4493Remember how you used to go to spots and bitch about randoms sitting on the bench you want to skate? Yeah? These dudes have no idea what your talking about.

If you skate concrete before it's fully cured (hardened) you risk a lot more chipping and chunking. Good things come to those...

Glad rob did this, even though he is getting alot of Flack regarding Carls.

By the Way that area is a bit sketchy I have lived in LA all my life and still do to this day.
Just have to watch out for yourself while in the area and whats going on.

Rob Dyrdek is awesome. He built this super sick park for everyone. Who cares if we can super size Dyrdek meal. With the money he might even open up another park around here or built a public fantasy factory.

Keep killing it Rob. Don't listen to the Haters

I am glad to see little mini-plaza things like this that actually work. They've been trying to build some for us up in Tacoma, WA and utterly failing- all the shitty obstacles are cramped together in one big pile, one big pile of shit
