Seth McCallum micro-interview

I forgot I emailed Seth some questions for a little interview when I first got this blog. I was kind of freaked out that since it was winter I wouldn't have any content to put up (because it's 0 degrees out and I never leave my room in the winter) so I sent a bunch of these out. I probably annoyed too many people with these seemingly pointless interviews, but they are kind of fun. Below there are some links to a few photos/sequentials.
3 things you missed about Minneapolis
1. the winter. It really makes you appreciate and always take advantage of the warm skate days.
2. the fake niceness. Everyone talks about "minnesota nice" but its just a front, deep down somewhere inside all of us is true hate for one another.
3.The Familia.(the real and the skateshop)
3 things you didn't miss about Minneapolis
1.the winter. haha, that shit is so fuking cold!
2.Sales tax(non-existant for most shit in oregon)
3.The segway scooter lady of downtown mpls.(does she have to park that thing for the winter?did she finally get crushed by a car for not paying attention to traffic?does anyone else know who im talking about?)
What's the story behind the loon tre?
The loon tre by nike sb was originally a design by art wizard Todd Bratrud for a dunk low that never ended up coming out. The former nike art director Chris Reed worked with Todd to redesign it to fit the Zoom Tre as a custom and non-official seth mccallum shoe. It comes out this summer of 2007 and has artwork on the insole that i drew, and very unique Loon animal print
embroidery.
How many miles a day do you think you skate?
I skate according to weather, amount of energy, and overall stokeness. there have been times when i have looked at a city map after a long distance kind of day, and have noticed that sometimes it is an upward of 25 to 30 miles. But it REALLY has Nothing to do with distance, thats just kind of a funny side effect of true happiness atop the board.
Do you remember the combination to your locker in high school?
No, but i JUST had this dream in which I was frantically needing to enter that locker but couldnt.
Do you have any phobias?
I have a huge fobia of the best skateshops closing down for good.
Pivot To Fakie
Nollie Disaster to Fakie. I'm not sure if you can tell by the photos but this spot is really quick, in the last few frames you can see how there's no flat bottom at all.
5-0 big spin at "that one taco spot" as it's commonly referred to.
50-50. Figured it could use one more angle, you know, just in case the back up of the back up needs some back up.
