Old Photos
So it's January 26th!!! You know what that means? Nothing really, still cold and snowy, and for some reason i've developed some sort of temporary insomnia as of lately so i've been looking around my hard drive when I found a folder full of(drumroll please)...........old skate photos! You ever see that Pete and Pete where they try to stay up for a really long time and everyone starts to go nuts? Anyways....
I finally saved up enough money to get a flash and a radio slave this day! A duct taped together quantum 2i slave and a $30 dollar sunpak non adjustable flash. Fun day, this was the first photo I took with it, well, not the true first. See the first roll was probably wasted because that radio slave sucked and i'm pretty sure was just a walkie talkie with a sync cord input on it, but this was the first time the flash finally went off. Brady BackTail.
Nick Riley Crooked grinds up a flat bar at one of the many abandoned warehouses of that summer.

Justin front rock on his ramp with big clown glasses and green hair.
I was in a photo class at the time and my teacher said this photo was "edgy and raw", so I slapped her and said "no that was edgy and raw, this is a backside wallride". Performed by Mike Munzanrigdert
Me and Cutty were driving back from S.F. and stopped somewhere in Nevada to eat at a McDonalds and there was a newspaper on our table and the cover was a kid ollieing over a garbage can on his board at some park. Now this town was maybe a square mile, we figured it had to be close, we looked across the street and sure enough, there it was. So we went and skated it with another kid, well the other kid was scootering but he looked really interested on what tricks we were doing, you know, fancy moves like the "kickflip" and the "180". Tech stuff for Loveland Nevada.
You know, sometimes I feel bad not stopping kids from trying things I don't think are a good idea, but you know those darned teenagers, there's just no way to rationalize with them. This particular day Uly wanted to grind this super crusty 3,994 stair rail. Peep that landing and runway. Well, he somehow stuck after grinding for about 2 stairs and did a breakdance spin on his head, but the photo turned out pretty funny, Uly also turned out funny....funny looking!
My friend Wolf. In between getting mad at me for "slamming his trunk", he taught me alot about photos.
