Tre AD On Me
The secret Nike submarine surfaced in my backyard the other day, beckoned me on board, and took me to the drop-off point for the first-class hot air balloon shuttle, which silently transported me and about twenty international media nerds and forty skateshops up to the top of Mount Beaverton for the introduction of the newest addition to the Nike SB line — the Zoom Tre AD.
Saw Steve running around for a second. Looks like he’s been hitting the tanning booth.
Here’s the Tre AD. Same toe material as the Zoom Tre but with some amazing upgrades. Superior board feel, light as hell, very skateable straight outta the box, and a Tar Heel fan’s wet dream.
SB’s Kevin Imamura reaches for his turn at holding the baton. This sculpture is meant to memorialize the team run that Nike did in the wake of the World Trade Center attacks — raising support for the families of those killed in the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Then we were teleported to the secret cloud-top dwelling of the Nike SB team. It’s right next door to the Superfriend’s new digs at the floating Hall Of Justice and one cumulus down from Superman’s secret retreat — even the man of steel needs to take a break for cookies every once in a while.
Reese Forbes and Chet Childress were running the snack bar.
Oliver and Humphries are very close.
