And then there was the Kidney


Not too many could ride this thing, or at least rip it and walk away. Owen Nieder was one of the original DM locals and had that hip wired. Air off. He is still ripping to this day in the Encinitas kidney. I met Owen in 1979 and he was on the park skate team. I would load up my pickup truck with skaters and drive them to ASPO contests. Owen would toss shit out the back of my truck at cars on the freeway. Never a dull moment.
