Paul Rodriguez is blazing his own trail. Whether it’s being the only skater to receive 10 signature shoes from Nike or changing the classic skate company blueprint with his brand Primitive, P-Rod is doing things his way.
In 2017, Paul is redefining the role of a professional skateboarder. He is taking the year off from skating the major contest circuit in order to focus on skating the streets. At the same time, he is not currently working on a full video part. Instead, he plans to strategically use the footage in different places so that it has more staying power.
In the age of the internet and social media, Paul’s approach may be marketing genius. Time will tell. In this new interview from SOLO Skate Magazine, he goes into detail about how he’s doing things differently this year.
