Hard to believe it’s been three years since my friend Tony Evjenth passed away. I miss him. He was a solid dude. It was very touching to see such an amazing turnout for this year’s Tony Evjenth Memorial Skate Jam at the Santa Rosa Skatepark, and witness firsthand the impact he had on so many people while he was here with us. Donations from skate companies and legit artists were auctioned off with the proceeds going to his family and loved ones. There was an 80s style jump-ramp jam, dudes shredding the park, a delicious bbq, moon bouncers for the kids, and an amazing vibe from people coming together for a fallen brother. It hurts to see someone go, but it’s awesome to see friends gather and celebrate life. Thanks to Josh Powner, Jeff and Brian Henderson, and Matt Sharkey for all the hard work and sacrifice. Tony was lucky to have friends like you guys.

Toan Gilmore. Ski jump.
Jon Lohne. Christ Air.
Mike Minard. Rocket air. He actually pulled a rocket air finger flip to win the 80s jump-ramp jam! One of the coolest trick’s I’ve ever seen!

The turnout was real. I was a little nervous to shoot this photo—the largest group photo I’ve ever taken!
