Mike V’s new band, Mike Vallely / By The Sword debuts this Friday night February 12 @ 2HeadedHorse. Playing a Black Flag tribute set including such Flag classics as: Nervous Breakdown, I’ve Had It, Jealous Again, Six Pack, My War and others. The night will be complimented with art by JRF and DJ sets by Shepard Fairey. The show is all-ages, (21 and over [with ID] to drink) and will cost you $5 at the door.
The flyer is inspired by the art of Ray Pettibon – the artist who did all the original Black Flag flyers and album covers in the early 80′s. Pettibon is a legend and his artwork was the visual personification of the DIY, pissed at the man, punk rock movement. View more of Pettibon’s work here.
