Last night Matix held an intimate soiree to celebrate the release of This Is Progress, a hardcover book chronicling the past ten years of the company’s existence. We started at the Art & Architecture book store off of Cahuenga in Hollywood for some wine and cheese as we thumbed through the pages of the Matix book.
The man with the vision: The Gavinator.
Parked in front of the bookstore was the Red Bull Party Bus. Full open bar, darkly tinted windows, good ventilation, and lurker friendly. Nuff said.
Marc Johnson was passed the fuck out!
But moments later he emerges from the Party Bus looking for the pisser.
Anthony Acosta and Eric Koston.

The wine and cheese was done, so it was time to move the party to the official after party spotty in some cool gallery / showroom type of place in Chinatown.
Yoon Sul.
Tony Evjenth, Tony Karr, and Mike Anderson.
Daniel Castillo and the homie Matt from Hawaii
Nice book, dude.
Mike Carroll said, “I’ve been mellow lately.”
Dimitry Elyashkevich said, “It wasn’t me, I wasn’t there.”
Chris Casey, Andrew Brophy, and Lee Smith.
I didn’t see this one coming: Torey Pudwill and his Jesus piece.
